Governing Board
The Governing Board consists of nine members of the church who serve a term of service of three years. The Governing Board ensures that a strategic direction of the congregation is the driving force for all activities and related ministries.
Antone drinkard - Board President
My family and I started going to St. Matthew in July 2021. I have served on the Governing Board as the Board Briefing Coordinator and assisted in outreach. I have also served at many different churches in several different capacities. In coming to St. Matthew, I felt the call to join this specific family and serve. I am compelled by the peace of the Spirit to serve and filled by the love coming from this community of disciples.

Shaylyne krumdieck - VICE PRESIDENT, Orientation/training coordinator
I have been a part of the St. Matthew family for 10 years. I volunteer on the AV team assisting with service sound and currently serve as the Vice President on the Governing Board. I love this church and our congregation. I want to help make decisions that impact members and guests. I want to see our church continue to grow and reach more families, bringing them to know the love of Jesus.

I have been part of the St Matthew family for more than 15 years now. Previous to serving on the board now, I served on the Fellowship board under the old structure and used to work quite a few shifts in the nursery at the green church. When I was asked to consider a board position I just knew it was time to give back to our congregation and the St Matthew community. I like to learn about how our church is growing and what ways we can all work to enhance the family we have at St. Matthew

Kevin GEORGESON - Briefing Coordinator
I am excited to serve as Briefing Coordinator on the St. Matthews board. Our family has been apart of St. Matthews since 2010, and I feel led by God to serve in this way. Our family has grown in the church and enjoy being a part of services, youth, and choir. My personal background includes leadership, training and education. I look forward to using those skills to help St. Matthew grow.

Bonnie Tangen - Treasurer
My husband and I joined St Matthew in spring of 2015. I served on the Council as the Financial Secretary. I have been on the Governing Board as the Recording Secretary and now as the Treasurer.
I have also helped with offering counting, led the prayer partner group, participated/facilitated First Place for health. I feel it is important to serve The Lord with your gifts. He gives each of us different gifts and in my professional life, I have been in leadership most of my adult life. I love being part of the leadership of my church. It is where the action is. Where you can be impactful. At my previous church, I also served in mulitple leadership positions. It is where I can use my gifts and serve.

Chris cantrell - Recording Secretary
Having grown in faith through the ministry of St. Matthew over the last 16 years, I am thankful for my faith in Jesus and want to give back to the ministry that has blessed me so much. My legal background and communication skills will be a great asset to the Board, particularly in the area of developing our Ministry team. St. Matthew needs to continue to grow great people and I want to be part of finding and growing them. I am excited to see St. Matthew grow while maintaining our “small church” identity - that welcoming, personal energy we have always had.

I have been at St. Matthew for 23 years - served on church council for 2 terms, an elder for 2 terms and governing board currently in 2nd term. I am compelled to serve on leadership at St. Matthew to ensure all groups are heard & represented.

The role of our elders consists of…
Providing spiritual guidance for ministry teams and staff
Supporting the direction of ministry through leadership of the MATs.
Caring for, nurturing, encouraging, and supporting pastors and staff
Assisting pastors in the care, nurture, and encouragement of individuals and families within the fellowship
dave clawson - Head Elder and Inspiring Hope
I’ve been a member for 16 years. I have served on multiple boards and positions, most recently as the MAT elder for the Inspire Hope team and service elder. I want to help develop the mission of our congregation and it's growth, believing my many years of church membership will be a great benefit.

Tommy Hintz - Apprentice/small groups
I have been connected with St Matthew for 2.5 years. I currently serve as a MAT Elder for the Apprentice and Small Groups MAT. I also help teach Confirmation to our 7th & 8th grade students, and this past summer I was a chaperone for the high school kids on their trip to Houston for the LCMS Youth Gathering. Out of the great love that God has blessed me with I want to share the love of Jesus with those I come in contact with. I enjoy walking along side people on their faith journey. I love to develop and use the gifts that God has given me for Kingdom work.

Jeffrey Krumdieck - family ministry
I have been attending St. Matthew's for 25 years. I am involved with the leadership team on the Board of Elders and currently the MAT Elder for Family Ministries. I grew up attending St. Matthew's and have always felt at home here. I felt that it was now my time to join the leadership team that helped shaped me and continue the pattern to help others grow in their faith.

Jeff Wiedeman - Student Ministry
I have served in leadership for 3 years and am the MAT Elder for Youth Ministries. I have been active in student ministry, specifically club 56 on Wednesday night. I love being a part of the leadership team here at St. Matts. I get to interact with others, serve the people if this church and get involved with community activities.
