Governing Board & Elders

Governing Board

The Governing Board consists of nine members of the church who serve a term of service of three years.  The Governing Board ensures that a strategic direction of the congregation is the driving force for all activities and related ministries.

Antone drinkard - Board President

My family and I started going to St. Matthew in July 2021. I have served on the Governing Board as the Board Briefing Coordinator and assisted in outreach. I have also served at many different churches in several different capacities. In coming to St. Matthew, I felt the call to join this specific family and serve. I am compelled by the peace of the Spirit to serve and filled by the love coming from this community of disciples.

I have been part of the St Matthew family for more than 15 years now. Previous to serving on the board now, I served on the Fellowship board under the old structure and used to work quite a few shifts in the nursery at the green church. When I was asked to consider a board position I just knew it was time to give back to our congregation and the St Matthew community. I like to learn about how our church is growing and what ways we can all work to enhance the family we have at St. Matthew
